A H M Faisal is a prominent development activist who has been serving humanity for the last 34 years of time. A H M Faisal Ahmed has been an active Rotarian since 1995. As a development activist, he served the United Nations UNV Program under UNDP Nepal and Korea Youth Volunteers (KYV) under Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
In late 1991 while he finished his assignment to the UNV program (under UNDP Nepal) he returned back at home and organized local philanthropists and formed SJA on August 12, 1991 and currently working as Executive Director of Sylhet Jubo Academy. Furthermore, he is the ‘District Governor 2024-25’ of Rotary International District 3282, Bangladesh and will take over his responsibilities as the District Governor on 1st July 2024.
SJA’s vision is to build a society free from poverty, hunger, illiteracy and all forms of discrimination based on gender and ethnicity. SJA dreams of a society that the disadvantaged, discriminated and excluded communities enjoy a life with all rights.
SJA’s mission is to establish a well-organized community by accommodating socially excluded populations with healthy, literate individuals who are both motivated and empowered to improve their socioeconomic status.

Humanitarian - Emergency Response to Covid-19
SJA has begun its Emergency COVID-19 campaign to fight against Coronavirus to the most vulnerable people in Bangladesh: the poor, day labor, tea garden workers, disable, widows, sex workers, jobless, hungry, elderly, and orphans. We are attempting to distribute food among 100,000 people.

SJA’S has 32 years of working experience at the whole seven division of the country effectively. The organization focuses its efforts on Human Rights especially to end Gender Base Violations (GBV); Good Governance; Children Development; Combating diseases like STD-HIV/AIDS, malnutrition; Social wounds like poverty, Illiteracy, unemployment and issue like disability, Health and family planning, environment and climate change, water resource management, water and sanitation and contributing to achieving 9 goals out of 17 of Sustainable Development Goals.
